Išsamus view of Arashi Rearsets shift control components

5.1 paveikslas: Iš arti view of the shift control mechanism, highlighting the adjustable linkage, ball bearings, and footpeg design. This image illustrates the components that allow for precise gearshift and foot position adjustments.

5.1 Footpeg Position Adjustment

  • The rearset plates typically have multiple mounting holes for the footpegs and levers. Loosen the relevant bolts, reposition the footpeg to your desired height and fore/aft position, and then re-tighten securely.

5.2 Shift Lever Position Adjustment

  • The shift linkage rod (as shown in Figure 5.1) is threaded, allowing its length to be adjusted. Loosen the lock nuts on the linkage rod, rotate the rod to lengthen or shorten it, and then re-tighten the lock nuts. This changes the angle and position of the shift lever.
  • Ensure the shift lever has adequate clearance and does not interfere with other parts of the motorcycle throughout its full range of motion.

5.3 Brake Lever Position Adjustment

  • Similar to the shift lever, the brake lever position can often be adjusted by modifying the length of its linkage rod or by adjusting the position of the lever on its pivot point.
  • After adjusting the brake lever, always verify that the rear brake light activates correctly and that there is no drag on the rear wheel when the brake is released.
