2. Komponentai

The McKesson Aneroid Sphygmomanometer typically includes the following components:

  • Aneroid Manometer: The gauge that displays blood pressure readings. It features a luminescent dial and extended graduation marks for easy reading in various lighting conditions.
  • Pripūtimo lemputė: Used to inflate the cuff.
  • Air-Release Valve: Located on the inflation bulb, used to control the deflation rate of the cuff.
  • Nylon Cuff: A latex-free cuff designed to securely wrap around the arm. It includes a comprehensive marking system for proper placement.
  • Vamzdis: Connects the cuff, manometer, and inflation bulb.
  • Nešiojimo dėklas: A leatherette zippered case for convenient storage and transport.

4. Setup and Cuff Placement

Proper cuff placement is crucial for accurate blood pressure readings.

  1. Select the Correct Cuff Size: Ensure the cuff size is appropriate for the arm circumference. The McKesson Adult Cuff is designed for arm circumferences of 23-40 cm. Refer to the cuff sizing chart below.
  2. Prepare the Arm: Sit comfortably with your arm resting on a flat surface at heart level. Ensure the arm is bare or has only thin clothing. Avoid taking measurements after strenuous activity, bathing, or consuming caffeine/alcohol.
  3. Uždėkite manžetę: Wrap the cuff firmly around the upper arm, approximately 1 inch (2-3 cm) above the elbow joint. The artery mark on the cuff should be aligned with your brachial artery (typically on the inside of the arm). The index line should fall within the range lines on the cuff.
  4. Prijunkite komponentus: Ensure the tubing from the cuff is securely connected to the manometer and the inflation bulb.

5. Naudojimo instrukcijos

Follow these steps to take a blood pressure reading using your McKesson Aneroid Sphygmomanometer. A stethoscope (not included) is required to listen for Korotkoff sounds.

  1. Padėk save: Atsisėskite tiesiai, atremkite nugarą ir pėdas remkitės į grindis. Ranką padėkite ant stalo taip, kad manžetė būtų širdies lygyje.
  2. Locate Pulse: Place the diaphragm of a stethoscope over the brachial artery in the antecubital fossa (inner elbow).
  3. Pripūskite manžetę: Close the air-release valve on the inflation bulb by turning it clockwise. Rapidly inflate the cuff by squeezing the bulb until the manometer reads approximately 20-30 mmHg above your usual systolic pressure, or until the pulse sound disappears. Do not over-inflate.
  4. Lėtai išleiskite orą: Slowly open the air-release valve by turning it counter-clockwise, allowing the pressure to drop at a rate of 2-3 mmHg per second.
  5. Klausytis garsų:
    • Sistolinis slėgis: Note the reading on the manometer when you hear the first clear, tapping sound (Korotkoff sound). This is your systolic blood pressure.
    • Diastolinis slėgis: Continue to listen as the pressure drops. Note the reading when the sounds completely disappear. This is your diastolic blood pressure.
  6. Visiškai išleiskite orą: Once the diastolic pressure is noted, fully open the air-release valve to deflate the cuff completely.
  7. Įrašo skaitymas: Record your blood pressure reading (Systolic/Diastolic). Wait at least 1-2 minutes before taking another reading.

6. Priežiūra ir priežiūra

Tinkama priežiūra prailgins jūsų sfigmomanometro tarnavimo laiką ir tikslumą.

  • Valymas: Wipe the cuff and manometer with a soft cloth dampened with a mild disinfectant solution. Do not immerse any part of the device in water.
  • Saugykla: Store the device in its leatherette zippered carrying case in a cool, dry place, away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures.
  • Filter Screen Valves: The sphygmomanometer features filter screen valves to reduce dust buildup. These help ensure proper and efficient operation by capturing particles as air travels through the tubing. No user maintenance is typically required for these filters.
  • Kalibravimas: Aneroid sphygmomanometers should be checked for calibration periodically, typically every 1-2 years, or if accuracy is suspected. Consult a qualified technician for calibration services.

7. Problemų sprendimas

If you encounter issues with your sphygmomanometer, consider the following:

  • Netikslūs rodmenys: Ensure correct cuff size and proper placement. Verify the air-release valve is fully closed during inflation. Consider professional calibration if readings remain inconsistent.
  • Rankogaliai nepripučiami: Check all tubing connections for tightness. Ensure the air-release valve is fully closed. Inspect the bulb and tubing for any visible damage or leaks.
  • Cuff Deflates Too Quickly: Ensure the air-release valve is not open too wide. Check for leaks in the cuff, tubing, or bulb.

For persistent issues, contact McKesson customer support or a qualified medical equipment technician.
