5. Montavimas
Installing the JoyTech front hub involves several steps, including wheel building (if not pre-built) and mounting to the bicycle fork. Professional installation is recommended for wheel building.
5.1 Wheel Building (Professional Recommended)
If you are building a new wheel, the hub will need to be laced with spokes to a rim. Ensure you use appropriate spoke lengths for a 36-hole hub and your chosen rim. The hub is designed for disc brakes, so ensure your rim is also compatible or that you are using disc-specific wheels.
5.2 Mounting the Disc Rotor
This hub is designed for disc brakes. Mount your disc brake rotor to the hub's disc mount using the appropriate bolts and torque specifications provided by your disc brake manufacturer. Ensure bolts are tightened securely and evenly.
5.3 Installing the Wheel on the Fork
- Ensure your bicycle's front fork dropouts are clean and free of debris.
- Open the quick release lever on the hub.
- Insert the wheel into the fork dropouts, ensuring the disc rotor aligns correctly with the brake caliper.
- Push the wheel fully into the dropouts. The quick release skewer should pass through the fork ends.
- Close the quick release lever. It should require a firm push to close, leaving an imprint on your palm. If it closes too easily or too hard, adjust the nut on the opposite side of the quick release lever.
