Follow these steps for effective and safe operation of your planer.
- Pjovimo gylio reguliavimas: Use the height adjustment crank to set the desired planing depth. The TPT125 allows for precise adjustments in 1.58 mm (1/16 inch) increments. The cutter head can be adjusted from 3.2 mm (1/8 inch) to 152 mm (6 inches) in height.
- Ruošinio paruošimas: Ensure the workpiece is clean, free of debris, and has no metal objects (nails, screws). For best results, the workpiece should have at least one flat face before planing.
- Ruošinio tiekimas: Turn on the planer. Carefully feed the workpiece into the infeed table. The large infeed and outfeed tables provide excellent support for longer materials. Maintain a steady, even pressure to ensure consistent planing.
- Keli leidimai: For significant material removal or very hard wood, make multiple shallow passes rather than one deep pass. This reduces strain on the motor and blades, and results in a smoother finish.
- Stebėti našumą: Listen for unusual noises and observe the quality of the cut. If the machine struggles or the finish is poor, the blades may need sharpening or replacement, or the depth of cut may be too aggressive.
