The drive comes pre-formatted for universal compatibility. If you need to reformat the drive for a specific operating system or file system (e.g., NTFS for Windows, HFS+ for macOS, exFAT for cross-platform), use your operating system's disk utility tool. Be aware that formatting will erase all data on the drive.
