Before first use, fully charge the vacuum for a minimum of 3.5 hours. Connect the charger to the docking station or directly to the vacuum's battery port. The indicator light will turn off when fully charged.

Converting to Handheld Mode
To convert the vacuum into a handheld unit, press the red release button at the top of the extension wand and pull the wand away from the main motor unit. For thorough cleaning, the clear bin can be detached by sliding the red dirt removal button all the way down while tilting the clear bin away from the motor.

The Dyson V6 Absolute features a washable HEPA filter located at the top of the motor unit. For optimal performance, wash the filter at least once a month with cold water. Ensure the filter is completely dry (allow at least 24 hours) before reinserting it into the vacuum.
