Timex M79 Automatic Watch User Manual

Model: M79 (TW2U78300ZV)

Įvadas

Congratulations on your purchase of the Timex M79 Automatic Watch. This timepiece combines classic design with the precision of an automatic mechanical movement. This manual provides essential information for setting up, operating, maintaining, and troubleshooting your watch to ensure its longevity and accurate performance.

Sąranka

1. Pradinis apvijimas

Your Timex M79 is an automatic watch, meaning it is powered by the motion of your wrist. However, for the first use or if the watch has stopped, it requires an initial manual wind to build up a power reserve.

  1. Gently unscrew the crown (if it's a screw-down crown) or pull it out to the first position.
  2. Rotate the crown clockwise approximately 8-10 times. This will initiate the movement.
  3. Push the crown back into its original position and screw it down if applicable.

2. Laiko ir datos nustatymas

To set the correct time and date:

  1. Pull the crown out to the second position (farthest from the watch case). The second hand will stop (hacking feature, if available).
  2. Rotate the crown to set the hour and minute hands. To avoid damaging the movement, it is recommended to set the date when the hour hand is between 3 AM and 9 AM.
  3. Push the crown back to the first position.
  4. Rotate the crown to set the date and day. Turn clockwise for date, counter-clockwise for day (this might vary, refer to specific movement details if available).
  5. Once the date and day are set, pull the crown out to the second position again.
  6. Advance the time past 12 AM to ensure the date changes correctly for the next day. Set the current time.
  7. Push the crown back into its original position and screw it down firmly to ensure water resistance.

3. Apyrankės reguliavimas

The watch features a unique bracelet style that requires careful adjustment.

Automatinio laikrodžio valdymas

Automatinis judėjimas

Your Timex M79 watch is equipped with an automatic mechanical movement. This means it is powered by the natural motion of your wrist. As you wear the watch, an oscillating weight inside winds the mainspring, storing energy.

Maitinimo rezervas

When fully wound, the watch has a power reserve of approximately 40 hours. If the watch is not worn for an extended period, it will stop. Simply manually wind it (as described in the "Initial Winding" section) or wear it for several hours to restart the movement and build up the power reserve.

Atsparumas vandeniui

The Timex M79 watch is water resistant up to 50 meters (5 ATM). This means it is suitable for short periods of recreational swimming, but not for diving or snorkeling. Always ensure the crown is fully pushed in and screwed down (if applicable) before exposing the watch to water. Avoid operating the crown while the watch is wet.
