Follow these steps to properly set up your North Spore Boomr Bin Automated Tech Kit:

1. Clean all components: Before assembly, spray and wipe down all components with 70% isopropyl alcohol to ensure a sterile environment.
2. Install the Fresh Air Exchange (FAE) Fan:
   • Insert all four screws into the FAE Fan Mini.
   • Add the mesh filter to the fan.
   • Position the fan on one end of your monotub, aligning it with the pre-drilled holes. Secure it in place with the provided nuts.
   • Add the rubber ring to one of the small openings on the monotub lid, which will be used for the humidifier hose.

3. Place the Humidity Sensor:
   • Locate one of the large filter holes on the opposite end of the monotub lid from the fan.
   • Cut a small slit (approximately one inch) into the 2-inch filter.
   • Slide the cord of the MYCOntroller Humidity Controller probe (the gray humidity sensor) through this slit.
   • Adhere the filter to the hole, ensuring the sensor is inside the monotub.

5. Connect Hoses and Power:
   • Connect the humidifier hose to the monotub connector and the top of the humidifier.
   • Plug in the FAE Fan Mini and the MYCOntroller Humidity Controller into separate power outlets. Note that two power outlets are required for the full setup.

6. Program the Humidity Controller:
   • To set the lower humidity threshold, hold down the first arrow button on the MYCOntroller until the display begins flashing. Use the arrow buttons to adjust the value to 80 (for 80% humidity). Wait for it to stop flashing to lock in the setting.
   • To set the upper humidity threshold, hold down the second arrow button until the display flashes. Set this value to 85 (for 85% humidity).
   • This programming ensures that the humidifier will turn on when humidity drops below 80% and turn off when it reaches 85%, maintaining an optimal range.

1. Turn on the FAE Fan: Adjust the FAE Fan Mini to your desired speed. This fan facilitates fresh air exchange, which is crucial for mushroom growth and CO2 regulation.
2. Add Fruiting Blocks: Carefully place your fully colonized fruiting blocks into the Boomr Bin Monotub. The monotub can typically hold 2 to 3 fruiting blocks. Alternatively, you can mix your own substrate directly within the tub.
3. Monitor and Optimize: The automated system will maintain the set humidity levels. Regularly observe your mushrooms and adjust fan speed or humidity settings as needed to optimize conditions for your specific species.
