10) Turn the machine OFF and wait for the wheel to stop rotating before making adjustments to the ma­chine (other than speed and location).

ĮSPĖJIMAS:

This machine is NOT guaranteed to be 100% accurate. Although each machine is thoroughly inspected and tested before leaving the factory, occasional errant pitch­es may occur (and should be expected). This can be due to balls in poor condition, moisture or debris, careless/negligent use, improper settings, improper mainte­nance, mechanical failure, or other factors.
Expect to have to react to errant pitches in the same way you would if you were batting off a real pitcher. It is important to make sure that all safety precautions are taken, and to instruct all participants on proper operating procedures and rules prior to use. It is your responsibility to make sure that your machine is maintained in prop­er operating condition.

METIMO MAŠINOS IŠDĖŽUTĖ

Kaip išpakuoti ir pirmą kartą paruošti mėtymo mašinėlę.

1) Remove the machine from the box. Lift the machine out of the box and set it to rest on the front guard of the machine that is connected to the fender.

2) If you ordered the Quick Release Leg Lock Kit with the machine, it has been factory installed. Slide each of the straight baseball legs or bent softball legs into the tripod base and secure them with the nuts and bolts provided or Quick Release Leg Lock Kit. Hold each leg with your hand as you tighten the nut. Tighten the nut or QRL handle until the leg will not rotate.

3) If you ordered the Transport Wheel Kit, you may install it now. Refer to the transport kit instructions (found on the websvetainė).

4) If you ordered a baseball only machine, it is factory set for baseball. If you ordered a softball only ma-chine, it is factory set for softball. If you ordered a combo (baseball & softball) machine, it is factory set for baseball unless otherwise specified.

PASTABA:
Ratams yra nustatytas įsivažinėjimo laikotarpis. Kad guma būtų tinkamai įbrėžta, reikia mesti 100 ar daugiau kamuoliukų. Nemeskite kamuoliukų mušėjams ir nesitikėkite, kad įrenginys mes tiksliai, kol ratai nebus įsivažinėję.

Kaip naudotis „Bata 1“ metimo mašina.

1) Pastatykite mašiną metimo zonoje. Vizualiai nukreipkite ją į pradinę plokštę.

2) Choose the power source. Before plugging the machine into the power source, make sure that the speed control dial knob is in the OFF position. Plug a surge protector into the power source.

3) Start the machine by turning the speed control dial knob clockwise and set it at the chosen speed. (see speed control). Allow the wheel to get up to speed before pitching the first ball.
4) Kol kas niekam neleiskite stovėti šalia namų aikštelės.
5) Į padavimo lataką įmeskite vieną kamuoliuką.

6) Prireikus pakoreguokite vietą aukštyn, žemyn, viduje arba išorėje.

a) To adjust the height, loosen the height adjustment lock handle about 1 /4 turn and rotate the head of the machine up or down to change the location. Lock the handle.
b) To adjust the inside/outside location, loosen the lateral adjustment lock handle about 1 /4 turn and rotate the head of the machine side to side to change the location. Lock the handle.

7) Nustačius vietą, prieš leisdami mušėjams įžengti į ringą, išmeskite bent 10 kamuoliukų, kad patikrintumėte vietą.

PASTABA:
Dėl pačių kamuoliukų padėties skirtumai tarp atakų bus tam tikrų. Nereguliuokite atakų padėties pagal atakas, nebent jos smarkiai skiriasi.

PRIEŽIŪRA

Kaip prižiūrėti „Bata“ metimo mašinėlę.

1) DO NOT use the machine in temperatures less than 40°F or more than 100°F. Extreme temperatures will affect the rubber tread on the pitching wheels and the motors.

2) Store the machine in a clean, dry place. If you choose to leave your machine outside in your batting cage, just make sure that it is covered well enough to keep it dry.

3) Keep the pitching wheels clean, dry, and free of debris. Residue from balls does not need to be re-moved unless it is affecting the pitching. If you do need to clean the rubber surface of the wheels, do not use any chemicals. Instead, use 60 grit sandpaper at a diagonal direction. DO NOT sand while the machine is running.

4) After a prolonged period of non-use, the rubber on the pitching wheels will become oxidized, making the rubber slick. This will affect the wheels ability to grip the ball and pitch it properly. You may need to scuff the rubber to get it back to a fresh rubber surface. Once the rubber scuffed, regular use will prevent oxidation.

5) Check the GAP between the pitching wheels. It is extremely important that the GAP is adjusted proper-ly for each type of ball (See GAP SELECTION).

Beisbolo į softbolą konversija

Kaip pakeisti savo mašiną iš beisbolo į softbolą.

1) Lower the machine to the ground or lift off the head of the machine from the tripod and set on the ground.

2) Remove the baseball legs from the machine by using a wrench or quick release handles (sold sepa-rately).

3) Pritvirtinkite softbolo kojeles ir pastatykite treniruoklį atgal.

6)Using a 1/2” wrench or impact loosen the two compression plate bolts above the control box (see im-age on page 9).

7) The holes have a very small adjustment range. The top of the holes are for leather balls and the bottom of the holes are for dimpled balls. Lift/lower the compression plate and tighten the bolts where you need based on the type of softball you are going to use.

8) Loosen the four motor mount bolts around the lower motor. You will feel the motor drop. While the motor is all the way down tighten the bolts. Now the gap between the wheels is set for softball.

9) After setting the speed and location, pitch at least 10 balls to check the speed and location before allowing batters to step in.

PASTABA:
Jei kamuoliukai lėtai iškrenta iš aparato ir (arba) metasi netolygiai, tai paprastai reiškia, kad ratai nėra tinkamai nustatyti pagal tinkamą tarpą. Naudojant aparatą, jūsų ratai susidėvės, todėl tarpas padidės. Laikui bėgant turėsite reguliuoti savo aparatą.

TARPO PASIRINKIMAS

Svarbi informacija apie tarpą tarp rato ir trinties trinkelės.

Terminas „tarpas“ reiškia tarpą tarp metimo rato ir suspaudimo pagalvėlės. Šis įrenginys gali mesti skirtingų tipų ir dydžių kamuoliukus. Tačiau kiekvienam reikalingas skirtingas tarpas. Pavyzdžiui, ampPavyzdžiui, softbolo kamuoliui reikalingas didesnis tarpas tarp kamuolių nei beisbolo kamuoliui. Tarpo keisti nebūtina labai dažnai, jei iš viso, nebent planuojate naudoti skirtingų tipų kamuolius.
Pavyzdžiui,ampPavyzdžiui, jei ketinate mėtyti tik odinius beisbolo kamuolius, galite palikti tarpą tarp gamyklinių nustatymų. Jei ketinate mėtyti ir beisbolo, ir minkšto beisbolo kamuolius, turėsite atitinkamai pakeisti tarpą tarp kiekvieno tipo kamuoliui.

Reikalingi įrankiai: 

• 1/2 colio lizdinis arba dėžutės formos raktas

The two bolts for the compression plate are elongated to allow 2/10” of adjustment. As indicated, the upper end of the slots set the machine for LEATHER balls. The lower end of the slots set it for DIMPLED balls.

Keturi variklio tvirtinimo varžtų lizdai yra pailginti, kad būtų galima reguliuoti coliu. Kaip nurodyta, viršutinis variklio tvirtinimo lizdų galas nustato mašiną į beisbolo režimą. Apatinis lizdų galas nustato jį į softo beisbolo režimą.

Svarbi informacija apie tarpą tarp rato ir trinties trinkelės.

Norėdami pakeisti variklio laikiklio nustatymą, veržliarakčiu atlaisvinkite visas keturias variklio laikiklio veržles tiek, kad variklio laikiklis galėtų slysti, ir nustatykite jį į reikiamą padėtį. Priveržkite veržles, kad pritvirtintumėte. Suspaudimo plokštės nustatymui taip pat naudojamas ½ colio veržliaraktis.

Išsaugokite naudojimo vadovą ateičiai. Jei kažkuriuo metu girliandos metimo ratukai gerokai susidėvi, girlianda gali būti nevienodai arba netolygiai girdima. Ši informacija gali padėti jums pašalinti triktis.

GAP dydis

Jei tarpas tarp kamuoliuko yra per didelis, ratukai nepakankamai tvirtai sugriebs kamuoliuką, kad jį mestų tiksliai ir tolygiai. Dėl to kartais kamuoliukas nepasiekia aikštelės krašto ir (arba) smūgio zonos. Rekomenduojame mažinti tarpą tarp kamuoliuko maždaug 1/16 colio (3 mm), kol kamuoliukas mestas tolygiai. Nustatę idealų tarpą tarp kamuoliuko su įdubimais, užsirašykite jį. Kai ratukai susidėvi, gali tekti iš naujo sureguliuoti tarpą tarp kamuoliuko.

Jei tarpas tarp kamuoliukų yra per mažas, jis bus netolygiai mestas. Rinkoje yra daug skirtingų prekių ženklų duobučių turinčių kamuoliukų, ir jie NE VISI vienodi. Mūsų įrenginiai yra suprojektuoti ir sukalibruoti duobučių turinčių ir standartinių odinių kamuoliukų mėtymui. Tarpą galima reguliuoti, kad tiktų kitų rūšių kamuoliukams, tačiau negalime garantuoti, kad mūsų įrenginiai juos mes tinkamai. Geriausia naudoti kamuoliukus, kurie yra įrodyti savo kokybiškais rezultatais. Duobėti ir žemomis siūlėmis kamuoliukai BATA įrenginiuose metami tolygiai. Dar kartą patikrinkite savo nustatymus.

GAP matavimas (apytikslis):

• Beisbolo kamuoliukas su įdubimais: 2-1/8 colio
• Odinis beisbolo kamuolys: 2-5/16 colio
• Duobėtas softbolas: 3 coliai
• Odinis softbolas: 3-3/16 colio

Savo mašina taip pat galite mėtyti 11 colių minkštus kamuoliukus. 11 colių minkštus kamuoliukus galite mėtyti iki maždaug 40 km/h greičiu, naudodami 12 colių softball nustatymą. Jei norite mėtyti 11 colių softball didesniu nei 40 km/h greičiu, gali tekti sumažinti tarpą naudojant „DIMPLED SOFTBALL“ nustatymą. NEMESKITE 12 COLIŲ SOFTO KAMUOLIŲ, KAI TOKIO PLOČIO TARPAS. Tai sugadins variklius.

PASTABA: Taip pat reikia pakeisti padavimo angą ir kojas, jei pereinama nuo beisbolo prie softbolo arba atvirkščiai.

ĮSPĖJIMAS: Netinkamai nustačius tarpą, galima sugadinti įrenginį.

ATSTUMO SU DĖVĖJUSIAIS RATLANKIAIS MATAVIMAS

After a lot of use, you will notice a “concave dip” being worn into the rubber on the wheel.

This is normal wear and tear. As the dip becomes deeper, the GAP becomes larger. There may come a time when you will need to make adjustments to the machine to shorten the GAP. How much can the wheel wear before you have to adjust the GAP? That depends on how fast you’re pitching the ball. At lower speeds, a wider GAP will still work. At higher speeds, too large of a GAP will allow inconsistent pitching.

To measure the GAP, take a ruler or tape measure and measure from the edge of the wheel to the compres-sion pad at the closest point. When the wheel is new, this measurement will be about 2-5/16” (with the GAP at the factory baseball setting), or 3-3/16” (at the factory softball setting). When the wheel is worn, you must do a calculation to determine the ideal GAP. The ideal GAP will be the average between the measure-ment at the edge of the wheel and the bottom of the concave dip.

RATŲ PADĖTIS

Occasionally you will need to check the position of the wheels on the motor shaft. This is very important for two reasons. First, the wheel must be positioned properly so that it is centered to the feed chute. Sec-ond, if the wheel is not properly positioned, the hub of the wheel may rub against the motor bolts, which can cause damage to the machine.

Norėdami tai pataisyti, 3/16 colio šešiakampiu raktu atlaisvinkite (neišsukite) fiksavimo varžtą maždaug 1/2 apsisukimo. Pastumkite ratą atgal į tinkamą padėtį, kad maždaug 1/32–1/16 colio variklio veleno galas kyšotų už rato stebulės išorės, ir priveržkite fiksavimo varžtą. Jis įsriegiamas į aliuminį, todėl būkite atsargūs ir neperveržkite ir nepažeiskite sriegio.

TRIKČIŲ ŠALINIMAS

1 PROBLEMA: Variklis neužsiveda.

1 SPRENDIMAS: Patikrinkite, ar kištukas (2010 m. ir vėlesnių modelių mašinose) tarp variklio ir greičio valdymo dėžutės yra tinkamai prijungtas.

2 SPRENDIMAS: Patikrinkite variklio šepetėlius.
Šepetėliai iš tikrųjų nėra šepetėliai. Tai mazgas, sudarytas iš mažo metalinio skirtuko, spyruokle ir plonu trosu sujungto su mažu stačiakampiu anglies pluošto gabalėliu. Spyruoklė skirta tiekti anglies „šepetėlį“ į variklio dalį, kuri sukasi viduje. Tai užtikrina elektros jungtį. Jei anglies pluošto blokas lengvai neįeina į armatūrą, grandinė nutrūksta. Taip gali būti dėl trinties, kai anglies pluošto blokas užstringa lizde.

To check the brushes, first unscrew the small cap that has the screwdriver slot. The first thing you will see is the metal tab. Using a very small screwdriver,  lift the metal tab up until you can get it to pop up enough to get your fingers on it. Pull the brush assembly out of the socket by the metal tab.

Mazgas turėtų lengvai įslysti ir išslysti iš lizdo. Jei yra trintis, anglies blokas netinkamai įstumiamas. Tokiu atveju paprasčiausias sprendimas – labai lengvai nušlifuoti anglies bloko šoną labai smulkiu švitriniu popieriumi (400 grūdėtumo).

Pakeiskite šepetėlio mazgą. Įstumkite jį į lizdą, stumkite metalinį skirtuką žemyn, suspausdami spyruoklę, kol metalinis skirtukas įsitaisys lizde. Uždėkite dangtelį. Būkite atsargūs priverždami dangtelį. Jis plonas ir trapus.

3 SPRENDIMAS: Remove the cover of the speed control box and check the con-nections.

Gently tug on each wire connection to make sure that there are no loose wires. Gently wiggle each con-nection on the circuit board to see if any of the soldered connectors have broken loose from the circuit board. If so, the circuit board needs to be replaced.

4 SPRENDIMAS: Patikrinkite HP rezistorių.

Mašinoms (2023 m. ir naujesnėms) patikrinkite, ar nepažeisti litavimo taškai. Jei jie pažeisti, reikės naujos grandinės dėžutės. Aukšto slėgio rezistorius įjungiamas į plokštę per du mažyčius lizdus. Kartais rezistorius gali atsilaisvinti arba visiškai iškristi iš lizdų. Jei jis iškritęs iš lizdų, įstumkite jį atgal. Pradėkite pirštais ir spauskite žemyn kiekvieną rezistoriaus galą, kur lituoti laidai. Spauskite po truputį ant kiekvieno galo, kol rezistorius bus visiškai įstatytas. Atidžiai patikrinkite, ar maži laidai, išeinantys iš kiekvieno rezistoriaus galo, yra nepažeisti, ar nutrūkę. Jei jie nutrūkę arba jei blokas sugedęs, reikia pakeisti aukšto slėgio rezistorių.

5 SPRENDIMAS: Patikrinkite, ar ant grandinės plokštės mazgo nėra apdegusių vietų.

Jei yra kokių nors apdegusių vietų, tikėtina, kad greičio reguliatorių sugadino įtampos šuolis. Tokiu atveju reikia pakeisti valdymo dėžutę.

PASTABA: Galite išvengti įtampos šuolių sukeltos žalos naudodami įtampos šuolių apsaugą.

6 SPRENDIMAS: Patikrinkite, ar nėra vandens padarytos žalos.

Jei jūsų prietaisas sušlapo, gali būti, kad jūsų grandinėje atsirado vandens pažeidimas. Kartais drėgmę galite išpūsti oro žarna ir sistema pakankamai išdžius, kad vėl veiktų, kartais ne. Jei yra vandens pažeidimas, greičiausiai reikės pakeisti valdymo bloką.

2 PROBLEMA: Variklio greitis svyruoja arba nuolat veikia visu greičiu

1 SPRENDIMAS: Labiausiai tikėtina, kad tai yra grandinės plokštės gedimas.

3 PROBLEMA: Ratas nustojo suktis arba skleidžia girgždėjimo garsą.

1 SPRENDIMAS: Patikrinkite rato padėtį ant variklio veleno (žr. 9 psl.)
